Are we human?

Do we exist?

Do we have a physical presence?

Reality surrounds us, but, within that reality, we have our own realities in which we exist and thrive. We live in both simultaneously and therefore each are two people within the same skin.

Music is nourishment. It is ingested and excreted. The Muse of Music is fickle, however, and as we suckle at her teats we find the effluence of one to be sour and the other spews only ash and dust. So, often, we must look elsewhere for sustinence.

Our neurological impressions have been made upon the ether of this universe. The vastness of it all has overwhelmed and embraced us. It has made us everything and it has made us nothing. Our existence is God and Satan and Buddha and Quetzalcoatl and Zeus and Odin and Ra. It is Adam as he lusted for those things his god denied him. It is Pandora sobbing at the ravishing of those things unleashed. It is the aching of one who can’t have the one they love. It is the pain of the breaking and the rending of flesh and spirit. It is the satisfaction after the orgasm. It is the sounds made in sadness and in happiness.

Every individual tries at some point to determine who they are and what their place is in the vastness of all the realities which surround and enfold us. We are conceived. Born. We age. We Learn. We err. We expire. And we wonder.

Some people believe they are Jesus. Jesus believes he is Jim Morrison.

We are neither.

We are the chimaera, assembled from the detritus of all who have existed before us.
