ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OCTOBER 11, 2006 TIME FOR A NEW BIO: I've now been at Macjams for a whole year, I originally wrote "totally new to the whole MacJams Experience ... I am looking forward to hearing more people's music and discovering new artistic talents from the MacJams Community" ... well I certainly have met a lot of great and talented musicians here and have had the honour and pleasure of collaborating with them. All my songs are collaborations as I do not have a MAC nor do I have garage band ... my contribution has been adding vocals ... writing lyrics ... and mostly (albeit doing it badly) mixing the vocals myself ... I was fortunate enough to have some of the songs mixed FOR ME by people who knew how to do such things. I'm still a little heavy handed on the REVERB and FX ... Can't keep my fat little fingers off those FX buttons .... I think it's time to put the "Crooning" hat away for a while and try to get back to what I like to do ... but have not learned just how to record it correctly without ending up in the red .... ROCK !!!! But as Macjams is a place to learn .... this too I shall endeavour to do ! Someone once wrote on one of my songs "this defies all that is pop" ... and I thought to myself YES YES YES .. that's ME .... and as you will see when you listen to SOME of my music ... it definitely strays away from the POP arena .... A lot of the music I have been playing with might even be called "weird" by some people ... but learning is fun .. and what better place to unleash your imagination and experiment in genres outside your comfort zone than the community that welcomes pretty much everyone and every genre of music into its heart !!!!
