Born in Sacramento and a bit of travel to Europe and East Asia, I have a sincere feeling for Old Timey as well as English, Irish, and Scottish Music. I am now expanding into old Russian tunes and new Russian groups with a Folk or some kind of feel that appeals to me (I read Russian). I play guitar (2 6-string and 1 12-string, primarilly folk, British Isles folk, singer/songwriters, and own) and banjo (2 custom made, 1 mountain, and 1 I built myself, old timey, clawhammer, folk) as well as tinker with my mandoline (old timey and fiddle tunes), 2 fiddles (Appalachian, old timey), a chanter and dulcimer. I used to play the folk music circuit in California in the 1970's, played a number of gigs at folk festivals until 1995. Became chronically ill and retired in 1995. Now, I am bedridden and the internet is my outside world as I seldom go out of the house due to my illness.
