Bio:
First things first... my daughter:

Okay. I've been playing guitar for 38 years and practicing for 38 minutes. In 1969 I got my first guitar, which qualified me to join my first New Jersey garage band. Later jammed in Syracuse, NY and then in Chicago from '82 to 2007, where I played guitar with my buds in a band wel called Farmageddon. I moved to east-east Tennessee in '07. Chicago is missed.

More bio and etc. info at the "About" page of my back-channel music site... see link above. BTW I'm an iC refugee from the Feb. '08 crash. I'm glad I'm here.

Music Background
Influences are too broad to cover, from 60s Brit Invasion to Zepp and the other 70s classic pre-metal and prog rockers to early '80s old-school punk to Jazz from Brubeck to Thelonius. And in general, all thins guitar. I got my first laminated starter axe, a Yamaha FG-75, in 1969 for my 10th birthday and it's still a great beater. I've gone through some 70s Japanese guitars (Univox, Ibanez Les Paul) and spent a lot of time with a '70s Telecaster. Today my main guitars are a Martin D-28 acoustic, a 1989 Fender Strat Plus and the guitar I will be buried with, a 2003 Hofner Jazzica, the 1st of 50 to come out of the violin finishing shop that year.
Music Skills
I took about two years of lessons when I ws 10 to 12 years old. Mel Bay just beat the poop out of me as a kid. So I've been laying by ear ever since. My chops are stuck in teh 60s and 70s. But there was some good music in the 70s. I never could and never will be able or interested in doing faithful covers.
Music Hardware
--Strat Plus, Hofner Jazzica, Martin D-28, some other toys (Teisco Del Rey, some other fun junk) --Boss GT-6 floor unit, Fender Pro-Reverb (silverface), mics, a bunch of BOSS stomp boxes I don't need. --Some BOSS stomp-boxes I hope YOU will want to buy from me! (Contact me if you do.) --A couple of condenser mics and other garbage mics. --Interface: PreSonus Inspire 1394 replaced a noisy Griffin iMic in early 2008.
Music Software
GB3. I couldn't figure out iDrum, or my vintage 80s Alesis HR-16 drum machine. Not too fond of loops, either. Drummers: You're welcome to contact me if you want to collab.
