Bio:
Born in Chicago in 1968 during the riots after Martin Luther Kings assasination. I have lived in alot of countries around the world. Art was what got me through high school and I went on to work at the National Film Unit working in the Design Department, Editing and Video. I left Wellington and moved back to the U.S. to go to film school. I attended U.W. Milwaukee avant garde film-making and then moved on to U.T. Austin, Texas to finish my degree. Working in restaurants to support myself, my passion for wine began. After managing numerous fine dining restaurants I took a job as a fine wine specialist with the largest distribution company. I married and we spent our honeymoon drinking our way through the wine regions of New Zealand. We moved back to NZ three years ago where we now live in Marlbough, the Sauvignon Blanc capital of the world. The photograph is a frame that I took from my first year film that I made while at film school in Milwaukee. The frame shows the marriage of two cultures New Zealand and America.
