Bio:
I am located in Atlanta, Georgia. I have been playing bass for years, but also play a little guitar, piano, and drums. I gigged for years with several bands. I have played all over the Southeastern U.S. I also played with a band in Sydney, Australia, where I lived for about one year while studying at University of Syndey. My brother went to Berklee College of Music in Boston and was a major influence. From his books and musical repertoire, I educated myself in music theory, in addition to taking theory in college and playing in the jazz band, where I learned to read music. I took some studio engineering courses as well. I have played with numerous bands, done studio work, and produced small projects. I play and write as often as possible and enjoy collaborating online and playing live. Send an email to akoplan@yahoo.com if you would like to collaborate on a project!
