Bio:
This is a collaborative site and a library of Found Sounds that we as MacJammers wish to store and share.
A place to keep our stuff. When submitting a file, please mention the BPM. If posting, please choose Informational as the Genre.

A bit of history of how this site got started.
I have this Turtle Shell and discovered that it makes for a pretty cool clave rhythm instrument. Not that this is a new idea. I am sure someone thousands of years ago discovered the same thing. But I have used it a couple of times. So I got to wondering what have you found in your world that makes for a cool sound.
The next time you have you mic hooked up and you have your favorite metric wrench or squeaky screen door nearby, just record it and send it our way.
Please use only real objects that are in your world, not samples or mp3's from other sources. Stuff that means something to you. Living or inanimate. Common everyday things that you hear that you can play or capture for about 3 minutes or less.
A bit more info:
If you have any recordings of found sounds send a Private Message to either awigze, Bud or SmokeyVW and you will be given the password to upload it here. Or you can give one of us your email address and we can reply in kind so that you can send us your mp3. Please come back often to see what sounds are newly available for your composition.
