Inspirations and influences (the good the bad and the ugly) came early and often in life;some in the midst of the family circle and some quite literally through the front door of my boyhood home.Having grown up in and around the family biz (Night Club) my impressionable young soul would soon come to realize that you don't just get into music,but music very much gets into you.(cue the eerie sound effect)
Discovering the art of self medicating at a young age only intensified music's seducing hold on my life.It had fueled many of my own creative musings,fanned the flames of a growing reckless sexual appetite and eventually poisoned my every thought,word and deed.Years later the thick walls of my lawless lifestyle began to crumble under the stress of a thoroughly seared and now screaming conscience.I knew about religion having been force fed it in my youth,but this was something else entirely.Jared awake from my spiritual slumber i now know and experience a living and loving relationship with the One true Creator God and not just some limp,lifeless religion. (cue the choir of angels effect)
The One i routinely mocked in closefisted rebellion opened my blinded eyes as to my true condition through His moral Law.It was there that i understood why Jesus did what He did and why we desperately need Him.I was brought low and transformed from a God hater into a God chaser! Understanding just a little more each day the reality of what He has done is what 'now' inspires and influences me in thought,word,deed and in song.
Q:How much do you value your eyes? (the windows of your soul)
Q:Would you sell them for 5 million? 10? 50?
Q:How much more precious then is your soul that looks out those windows?
