Bio:
Started playing in regional touring bands in Minneapolis in the late 60's. Keyboard player, into computers and electronic music since they first came out. Built my own synthesizer in 1970 as a high school electronics project. Sort of worked.

My family has produced a number of musicians including a world renowned classical composer and a number of rockers. In my early 60's, I still compose and record record. I own a start-up video post production company and often use my music or that of other indie musicians in my projects. My "real" daytime gig is with a major nationwide multi-media, telecommunications and internet company.

Music Background Started playing piano at age 5. Took lessons for 12 years, studying mostly classical. Also played drums, brass and a little guitar before settling down to keyboards. Played with several reasonably successful regional band out of Minneapolis Including Bittersweet with my little brother (aka Peter Z) and several other great musicians who went on to form other great bands, Circus 13, Starship, and The Robert Moore Group (myself, Peter Z, BobbyZio (who moved to LA and has performed with a number of successful LA bands such as The Katz, NuKatz & Boy) and who is featured on on major movie soundtracks), and Denny Craswell, drummer from The Castaways of "Liar, Liar" fame and later with Crow, an incredible Minneapolis based band who toured with numerous hit acts. When I got married to my high-school sweetheart and best friend, I went to work for various manufacturers in the music and pro audio industry, and ended up here in Phoenix, where we raised our family. Designed studio control room playback speaker systems, touring sound systems, and fixed systems for various stadiums, auditoriums, and Houses of Worship. My music is a mixture of all the crazy stuff going thru my mind.... updated remakes of tunes we wrote in the late 60's and early 70's, tunes about people I've met, and even some stuff about or for my grandkids (including a lullaby). I often feel I am trapped in a time warp back to 1969, as my music tastes keep taking me back there. A time when the true measure of a musician's or band's skill was their ability to perform everything from their albums live, on stage, with no backing tracks, etc. Influences- Yes, ELP, King Crimson, Triumvirat, Spocks Beard, Gentle Giant, John Williams, Genesis, and all of the great musicians that came out of those and other prog-rock bands
