Music Background I am a jazz trumpet player. I have experience playing lead and solo trumpet in a variety of styles. I have studied with some great musicians in my area such as Brad Goode and Greg Gisbert. I have also had the pleasure of meeting some of the world's greatest trumpeters including Maynard Ferguson, Wayne Bergeron, and Bobby Shew. One of my favorite things to do is to compose, and I plan to go that route with my future. My trumpet influences include: Maynard Ferguson, Miles Davis, Clifford Brown, Freddie Hubbard, Chet Baker, Chris Botti, Chuck Mangione, and others. Someone once told me that the individual personality in jazz playing is dying. He said that these days, everyone has to have that same mainstream, commercial sound to get by. My goal is to prove him wrong.
Music Skills I play jazz trumpet, but I dabble in keyboards, drums, and bass. I can play the shaker too...ya know, those things you buy in the front of the music store for a dollar? Yeah.
