Bio:
Artists who practice multiple art forms tend to siphon inspiration from one outlet to another. For me, those artlets are, in order from most to least practiced, digital music composition, novel writing, abstract photography, martial arts and my oldest talent, pencil drawing.

I used to take a college program called Insight where my Christian worldview was reinforced through Scripture and I was equipped to interact gracefully with other world-views, harvesting redemptive truth from them. Today I want to live as if I were still studying in that program. I believe that one of the gifts God gave me was the ability to learn about human beings. My music might be affected by this.

As for music itself, I've been at it since the summer of 2004 (just before high school) and I've always loved creating majestic atmospheres. Someday I'd like to make a living by composing/producing soundtracks or maybe even putting my stuff on the radio (once I get a feel for what the people want). This is a great place to learn.

Whether it's audio engineering or philosophy, I dig any feedback you can give on my songs. Please listen with your heart and feel the stories I've tried to tell. Thanks for being here.

In Truth,

Matt.

Music Background Meet the one-man band – or two men if you consider my computer a man. Our music career dawned in the summer of 2004, just before high school. Just the two of us. Digital composition must have come naturally. The only real training I'd had was four years of snare drum. One wouldn't expect much from a fourteen-year-old greenhorn and his Mac. Since that auspicious summer, we've been training. The hobby goes hand-in-hand with poetry and novel writing. Our "band" used to be called Blitz Fangs (I thought it sounded real nice), but upon the later writing of an online novel called Starborne Blades, I changed the name to Eidolon Eyes. That name faded too. Yet another novel has emerged and dubbed us Laverne. So yeah, a lot of my "music background" has to do with writing. Influential artists are DC Talk, Daiki Kasho, Shoji Meguro, Nobuo Uematsu, Miyavi, Enya and The Prodigy.
Music Skills Pecking away at my computer buttons is my only real skill. I can drum a little bit, but only on one or two heads at a time. I've got decent rhythm. Lyrics, melodies and beats can be carried on my back for awhile, which is handy when the inspiration surges come and I'm away from the computer.
Music Hardware MacBook G5... and formerly a Midi keyboard, which is now broken. Must replace/fix.
