Bio:
Hi, i'm Mckenzie, i'm 19 and i live in Southampton, Drawing, Football and especially Music make me happy.
This here is my setup (it actually lives in my tiny bedroom) I've spent about 2 years working solidly trying to afford it, and i have to say i don't regret a second of it. Alot of it is also 'hand me down' stuff, like the 18 year old hi-fi and speakers (STILL GOING STRONG!) and the computer is second hand too. The amps and electric guitar accessories are all dad's - as is the strat. My piano is my baby (Roland RD 700SX), after 8 years playing classical on the upright, i needed something that 'played' like a real piano and sounded like a real piano, that i could take to gig's and practise. It's the best (and only) £1000 i've ever spent, and is without a doubt the most amazing feat of technology i have ever come across. I spent a year building the studio up, and it was all funded by a ceramic art job in a tiny studio in winchester!! BUT, now i'm paying rent, bills and all that 'grown up' rubbish, so i'm gonna take a wild guess and assume the 'building' is going to slowdown somewhat. This could be a good thing however, as i tend to get lost in all the fun of the new technology, which, inevitably, draws me away from the reason i bought all that gear in the first place - to write songs and record them.
I'll take this opportunity to list a few major influences:
Coldplay
Damien Rice
Counting Crows
Norah Jones
Lifehouse
Paddy Casey
Audioslave
Rage Against The Machine
Stereophonics
Ryan Adams
Kings Of Leon
Thirteen Senses
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Jools Holland
Billy Joel
Chopin
Travis
Kenny Wayne Shephard
Radiohead
and of course....
EVERYONE AT MACJAMS

Hope you like the music!
:)
