Bio:
I grew up in Lovington, New Mexico until the age of 8 and my family and I moved to Naples Florida and I did the rest of my growing there. I was exposed to music at an early age. My brother and father both play guitar and sing. My first band was called Opus 7 and we played covers from bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chili Pepprs and Black Crowes. I formed Resolution with fellow mac jammer Hectorious when I was 17. We stayed together for about 6 years, made 2 full length albums opened shows for I Mother Earth(Twice!), BTO and Edgar Winter, Type O Negative, Tonic, Solution A.D and many others. After the dissolution of Resolution, I formed The Mike Rogers Band and toured extensively and made one album. After four years with that project I formed "Wattwuzzat" with the fantastically funky Hectorious on the bass once again and we made S.W.Floridas booties shake for a while. During this time I flew to San Francisco and make a record of these songs with producer Scott Mathews who has produced and played with the likes of Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Robert Cray, Bonnie Raitt, Roy Orbison, Elvis Costello and Van Morrison. After the release of the Wattwuzzat material the band took a turn for the worse and it was dissolved. I picked up the pieces once again and began writing and recording with the wonderfully artistc and soulful Heather Brooks. I am currently putting new material together for my next album and just finished co producing singer/songwriter Heather Brooks new album entitled "Turn it over" of which I play sax, bass, guitar, keys and sing as well. Heather and I are looking forward to our showcase in October at the Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, GA. As some of you may know the Atlantis Music Conference is a chance to showcase your goods in front of many influential music businness players and it is where a lot of bands have been signed to major and indie record lables so we are hoping to play our best and turn some heads, maybe ink some deals...who knows. Thanks so much for dropping by, peace and blessings to you all. Ciao!
