I like making beats. The kind of beats I aspire to make are generally funky, dirty, spacey, and largely hip-hop or electronica related.
You will also be hearing more flamenco from me, both electronic and classical, as I continue to get a better grasp of its theory.
I have recently installed Logic. Tips and advice on what tools and whatnots I can use in Logic to improve any of the songs posted here will be much appreciated.
To get a better sense of my musical taste, here are my musical influences/favorites:
Carlton Pote, the Meters, Vincent Mason (a.k.a. Plug 3), Paco de Lucia, Paco de Malaga, Sabicas, Francisco Tarrega, Berry Gordy, Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield, Lee Scratch Perry, Coxsone Dodd, Joe Gibbs, Stephen Marley, Sly and Robbie, Questlove, J Dilla, Madlib, Dr. Dre, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, RZA, Da Beatminerz, Timbaland, Organized Noize, Birdman, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation, Punjabi MC, Nightmares on Wax, DJ Shadow, J-Boogie, RJD2, DJ Rekha, Mitch Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix, Fela Kuti, Magic System (not really, just wanted to give them a shout out, "1er Gaou" is my s**t), Wayne Coyne, Geoff Barrow, John Custer (for Dag's "Righteous"), T-Bone Burnett, Ravi Shankar, Cody Chesnutt, and, of course, my original musical influences, mom and Grandma Dot.
