Bio:
Music has been a part of our family for as long as I can remember. Mom played the piano while dad played guitar and they both sang and then we all got in on the mix and sang for family gatherings, talent shows and the like.
At about age 9 was the beginnings of singing at my first talent show. Following that I took piano lessons which lasted only a year. I decided I liked playing by ear more and now wish I would have taken more lessons! About age 12 was when the guitar was put in my hands and dad taught me my first chords and I dabbled in songwriting, but it wasn't until 2000 after I had a concussion that the songwriting really came pouring out. After singing unprofessionally thru the years (weddings, funerals, talent shows, jam sessions, and dances) I now for the most part enjoy singing the original songs I write that range from love songs to God songs, to country to folk and some unnamed life songs I call them. Many are still a work in progress that I hope to finish soon! Thanks MJ for being here for those like me that are 9 -5 and still trying to make music on the side...I tip my hat to you!!
