Bio:
I'm a student filmmaker and I love soundtracks and trailer music. I'm not experienced at composing at all, but I am learning, and would like to know what people think about what I've made so far.

I don't have much time to work on making music, so I'll probably be slow in putting new stuff up. But I'm not leaving anytime soon.


As of 7/13/08-
I've got a whole ton of musical ideas floating around my head, and it's been great that I've finally been able to bring some of them into reality. However, I've realized that I will never truly be satisfied with what I'm making until I either get a real orchestra, or a piece of software that costs thousands of dollars. Neither of those things will happen anytime soon though. So, I'll continue trying to make music with GarageBand, even though I find it very limiting. Right now this is just a hobby of mine, and unfortunately it will be a while until I'm able to put in the time and money I really want to. Besides, I hope that over the next five to ten years I'll get a good idea from everyone here on MacJams of whether I'm making anything worthwhile. So far so good!

Right now I've toned down my music a bit. I wanted to make epic and loud trailer type music with GarageBand. My two tries with that resulted with "Third" and "Almost There". Neither of them sound the way I would like, and I just can't find the right instruments for the kind of music I was going for. I feel like I'm having more success with songs like "Debt" and "Losing You Again", and GarageBand is more capable of making them sound reasonable.

Currently I have three things I hope to do. I think I will take "Losing You Again" a step further than I have. Also, I have another piece in mind revolving around piano again, which I'm looking forward to starting. Finally, I have started making an orchestral piece with a strings base, and I'm really looking forward to getting this one done. It's by far the most challenging thing I've done, but I think it has a lot of potential to be the best thing I've done so far.

I'll be stopping by now and then. As always though, it will be a wait between songs. I really appreciate all the comments that I've gotten so far. I hope to spend more time admiring other people's work, than I have.
