Music Background After involvement in the local folk club scene in the early 80's got interested in traditional African music through Pedro Espi-Sanchis and later Andrew & Geoffrey Tracey. Formed small town band/ensemble Geckobeat, briefly in late 90's, revived (and renamed Old Hat) in 2005, to combine original pieces created on guitar with flute, cello, clarinet, hand percussion and various traditional African instruments. More recently worked with partner Nichola in duo Collage, performing standard folk/pop/jazz/acoustic material with some originals
Music Skills Guitar is my main instrument, composing mostly in open tunings. Also play a little piano, hand percussion and various traditional African instruments - Mbira, Kalimba, Uhadi, Umrhube, Amadinda and Kundi Harp.
