Music Background I've been playing guitar for 18 years. I've studied various styles of rock, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, folk and classical. My favorite bands/performers are Herbie Hancock, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Yes, John Coltrane, The Police, the Mars Volta, Coheed & Cambria, Mahavishnu Orchestra, ELO, Gentle Giant, early Metallica, early Megadeth, Charles Mingus, Black Sabbath, Phish, The Grateful Dead, Steve Vai, Thin Lizzy, Frank Zappa, Dream Theatre, Stevie Wonder, I could go on all day, anyone out there who can agree to all of these?
Music Skills I've read through various books on theory, harmony, melody, counterpoint, improvising, songwriting and orchestration I've written for and played with bands ranging from post-bop jazz to hip-hop to progressive metal. I've studied bass, drums and piano since I started teaching guitar at a music school 5 years ago. In other words I have the knowledge to do cool stuff with these instruments but not yet the chops. That's why edit/roll mode is my best friend on Garageband.
Music Hardware a guitar, jamlab thats about it right now.
Music Software Garage band
