Bio:
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and began playing guitar at 16 years old. I was influenced initially by Tony Schittina, a guitarist who is a legend and one of the only guys I ever seen play old Ted Nugent/Amboy Dukes with the right feel. I was then hangin with George Mazzola and Orville Hahn, two local guitarists that are also killer. I began writing songs and recording them on a four track. Now with over fifty songs I am recording at home with Garage Band/Logic and presently putting together my first CD.
I have another major influence, Duffy Jackson who is a great jazz musician, he taught me to put "THE GRIN ON THE GROOVE AND AIM THE BEAT AT YOUR FEET".
I am also an X-Ray technician and a co-owner of a pharmaceutical company and I am the co-inventor of PrevinC (www.previnc.com) a new Homeopathic Preventive OTC drug for cold and flu prevention.
I have a six year old son, Larry Jr. who is already starting some of his own tracks.
Katrina was recorded on Sonar using a Behringer Pre-amp and A Korg Studio Keyboard. The song was engineered and co-produced by Ismael Ortiz who is a great engineer, latin vocalist and keyboardist.
Special thanks to Hal Hansford (Song Writer, Musician, Engineer, Producer) for his influence. He brought me in the studio when I was 18 and gave me a taste of the big studio production. Also, last but not least, Al Lopez (Mr. Mac himself) for getting me interested and started with my first Home studio.
Hope everyone get's on the groove!
