Music Background
Joachim Heise, a.k.a. Shaving Ronald’s Car, was congealed March 14, 1985. He didn’t pay attention during childhood, so he often has difficulty with household items such as drying machines and peanutbutter. But he has persevered, and is currently living in Norway with a sweet little lady named Martine. He dreams of being a hand model, living in a redwood tree, and throwing leather couches at passersby. His dwarf-tossing habits are minimal to none, and he never consumes his own waste, believing it to be bad for your mercury/strychnine balance. He did once, however, attempt to eat himself in alphabetical order, saving ze brains and ze heart for last of course. Ze appendix made him sick though, and he had to stop.
A few words on influence…
Every band or artist is supposed to have these ‘influences’. These accounts of ‘inspiration’ and, more often than not, confessions of parrotlike behaviour, allow listeners to gauge whether or not an artist’s sound will overstep their audial boundaries, going into the realm of ‘what the fork is this poop?’ and ‘wow man, it hurts my head’, and in those beautiful rare cases, ‘by the goggles of St. Elbowstench, this is genius!’ If somebody sounds like Audioslave, then he is subjugate to Audioslave. Hehe. If somebody sounds like an exploding footbath, then he is set free by the sound of an exploding footbath, and the world can look at footbaths in a new and interesting light. This is not to say that certain artists haven’t rubbed off on me. After all, a child learns to speak by imitating others. But I digress… Let’s get the boomsticks out, shall we?
Oh, and use headphones if you got 'em. Or better yet, fat 1400 watt stacks :P
Music Skills
I goof around on drums, piano, and guitar, but use my limited skill in these areas mostly for making samples. My main focal point is cutting, slashing, vomiting up, and generally destroying sound with my software and hardware. Spiffy.
Music Hardware
Akai MPD24 MIDI controller, Edirol PC50 MIDI keyboard, Korg KP3 Kaoss pad, various circuit boards, frayed wires, children's toys, messy analog crap.
Music Software
Reason, Ableton, and Cubase
