Bio:
My name is Tamati and my prod/mc names are Teaks, Teaksta, Madprism, D.C.L and Darkstar. I am back to Sydney, Bondi beach, Australia. I was born in New Zealand and I am of Maori herritage.
I have been rapping for 14 years and I have been in several bands including D.I.G , Live **** with Turntables, Agent 76, Beacon, the biggest of these being D.I.G who toured Australia an N.Z many times and enjoyed great success as one of the countries most popular Acid Jazz bands through the mid to late 90's. With them I recorded 2 singles and toured exstensively for two years playing to 5000 plus crowds.
I have been making beats for 8 years starting with the Boss 110 and Boss 220
then progressing on to the Groove Box 303 and then the 505 Groove Box. At the moment I use a Korg Electribe ESX-1 sampler which on occasion bends my mind a bit, but it is a impresive peace of machinery and I highly recommend it as a tool for sampling, making beats and songs. I have been playing guitar since I was young, a by product inherritated from my father who is a full blooded N.Z Maori. I also play bass ( even though I don't have one at the moment) and the key's ( pretty rough) and I have been playing drums the last 12 months which I am really enjoying.
I have just bought Reason 3 and A Korg micro work station so the new music I will be producing will sound a lot better and I am very excited to see what direction I take this year( 2007 )
So please enjoy my music and drop a comment because it really does have a great effect on pushing me to produce the best music I can.
I would like to also say that some of the song's I have on this site will be on my album that I will be releasing in 2007 so please dowload them and enjoy.
