Music Background
Years of self-study in classical & jazz music theory; years of playing guitbox in SoDak "bar bands" (from jazz to bluegrass, but mostly Classic Rock & Country Rock)
Music Skills
Can voice any jazz chord in any key on the guitar; can (used to!) write down the "black dots" (which I did for over a thousand original tunes--w/ or without lyrics--and many arrangements of others' tunes; due to "time considerations," I'm more content now with tablature & MIDI. . . . I think I've written lots of great tunes w/ lyrics in my life, but I can't sing worth shit. . . . Guitar strengths: probably chordal-jazz stuff (not quite Joe Pass), the blues (not quite Buddy Guy), and minor-modal-Latin stuff (not quite Santana). . . .
Music Hardware
Gibson SG electric guitar / Fender classical guitar / Fender Deluxe Reverb amp (all "vintage" 1970's); Boss GT-6 multi-FX pedal; Fishman GT acoustic preamp; Tascam 2488 workstation; a shitload o' cords & mics & stands & crap . . . Roland ST-55 Sound Canvas (but serial-port connection--ugh!--doesn't work on my new Mac)
Music Software
Garageband 2 (incl. Jam Pack 3); Sound Studio; Soundtrack Loop Utility; iTunes, of course; (alas!--System 9:) Band-in-a-Box 8; MIDIgraphy . . .
