Bio:
My name is Tony Tate. I am from the Houston area - a place called Baytown. I was born March 1, 1963 Tony Lovette Brown. I was adopted by my step dad and took his last name (Tate) when I was in the sixth grade.

I began playing music when I was 10 years old. I started witht he guitar. I moved to the saxophone and piano when I got to the sixth grade. I did a couple of years of college got tired a and quit. After working a few years I joined the Navy. Shortly after that I auditioned and made the band where I have been performing for the last 19 years.

Thanks to the Navy I have been all over the world and performed for thousands of people. It has been a great ride but I am ready to move on.

The year before joining the Navy I gave my life to the Lord. He has done a better job with it than I think I ever would have. He has taken me places using my talent. Not many people can say that their talent allowed them to travel the world. It has been great. Not just the navy, but my life. I have met and have friend all over the country. I have two great kids who also sing.

I have faced hard times. I am divorced. I don't have any excuse for not writing and recording for the past 6 year except I had a hard time getting through this. But the Lord has sustained me. I'm getting out of the navy. Now I will find out what the Lord has in store for me. I look forward to it and I'm scare at the same time.

At some point I lost my way in life. I have for the last 6 years wondered what my life meant and what I was called to do. Now I think it is becoming clear. My desire to make music is coming back. Some of my equipment needs to be updated but I can still get it done with what I've got. So stand by. I'm on the move.
