Not getting too obscure.

Who is the most underrated guitarist in the history of Rock/Pop?

My vote: Paul Simon

*I was just listening to him playing "Anji" and it was just fantastic.
If any of you YOU-TUBERS can find clip of him playing that, please post it.

2nd Place: Prince...........yes the one and only Prince. He's good....really!

Elliott Smith!
All the focus has been on him beeing a depressed addict that sings beautiful songs. Well, he was probably not that underated, but when he sang and played it was magic!

I was just thinking about this the other day.

The list is endless across all genres, but the one I was thinking about was Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath.

Maybe he's not underrated, but I've rarely heard his name mentioned along with his era counterparts as an influence. He did some really cool stuff at a very young age, especially on some of the obscure Sabbath tracks.
