SERIOUSLY!!! Yes!!! But do you know how awful it is to go from making music to reading about Corporations? Bleckity-blech-blech However, I did just finish a little temporary farewell-to-Garage-Band tune. That's it! No mas GarageBand until August.

Well, there`s only ONE way out!
Go and check out LOGIC, hehe... ![]() Oh, sorry, I`m a bit late to point on Logic. But so what? It`s definitely the only way out, so.... |

HOW GARAGE BAND HAS AFFECTED MY LIFE, PART II
GarageBand turned my world upside-down. Everything unraveled for me pretty quickly after I discovered this music-making tool. I am not planning on trying to become a rock star, or even a musician. I am not hapless and silly enough to drop everything to think I could make it in the music business. However, here is what happened as a result of GarageBand: I discovered something that gave me joy. This discovery of joy brought into very sharp, stark, painful relief the misery I have felt every step of the way in law. I knew within the first two weeks of law school that I was making a mistake, but I bulldozed my way forward and got the degree anyway. So, anyhow, GarageBand, strange and trite though it may seem, has literally changed the course of my life. It just became clear that I could not go any further down the wrong path. Life is too, too, too short to do something that is making you miserable. So, I really don't know what the next step is. There has got to be a job out there that's a good fit for me and doesn't make me want to stick forks in my eyes like law does. Wow, GarageBand literally made me realize that it is possible to do some things that are worth doing for the sheer joy of it. I actually know some folks who feel this way about law, too--to each his own. Po Branson's book, "What Should I Do With My Life?" is a great read. It just shows how many of us grapple with this existential dilemma--"What am I supposed to be DOING with my life?" In the end, everything's okay. If it's not okay, it's not the end. ~Anonymous |
