I'm using Logic Express 7. I don't see anything under software updates for LE7. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Ah. No, I was thinking of some recent updates to Logic 8.

I'm uploading to the mirror right now, Vic, so the GB4 file should be available today. Smile

Also, Adam, you asked if there's a deadline. I think the last Saturnine was finished more than a year after we first posted the files, so no, there's no deadline. LOL!

Okay, so there's an alternate location to download the file now, so if you have trouble with the first link, drop us a note and we'll send you another one. I'd post it here, but I have bandwidth limitations, so would be grateful if people would still try to use the first one.

I did it!

http://www.macjams.com/song/43414

and I'm on os x 2.8 - no excuse for the way i hashed your song up tho, lol.

i discovered after downloading the .band file - you can just import it into itunes which seperates out all the parts in no particular order.

Just goes to show though - I know i bodged bits of it and yet i spent 9am till 11pm workin on it - so thats the best i could do i'm afraid - if i leave it till the next day - i forget i ever started it

anyway hope thats some help to anyone without garageband

Great song! enjoyed it

Paddler - bit drunk

nothing much of any note

RICHARD! I love it. I'll comment in more detail on the song page.

Thanks for that tip on importing the .band file. At the very least, it will save me a lot of time packaging up the aiffs, if need be.

Way to get us started Mr. Paddler! I am trying to think of other ways we can get the files to you in ways that will work for you. The only version of GB I have is '08, so our version is compatible with the new GB and Logic 8. As the Paddler demonstrated, you can extract the sound files from the GB file if you are intrepid enough. I actually have a folder of all the aiff sections, it clocks in at 291 megs. If you don't have the aforementioned programs and still want at it, we'll have to come up with a way to get it to you. Any suggestions? I have a .mac account as well, but a few downloads of the big folder and my bandwidth will be gone as well.

BTW, the BPM is 80, the key is A.

Why not break it into two folders and upload them to two separate yousendit.com urls? Then give the URL out on request via note. That'll work for the first two weeks and then one of us could park it on our dotmac account for the few people who will ask for it over the ensuing time.

Okay, so I figured out last night that another way to extract the files from the GarageBand file even if you don't have GB4 is doing a CTRL-click on the .band file then clicking on "show package contents" which opens up a sub folder with two or three other folders. All of the soundfiles are in there and can then be accessed any way that's compatible for you.

Hope this helps. We're still willing to help people who are having trouble getting them if it doesn't.
