Can't solo...
Sunday, March 15 2009 @ 08:05 AM CDT

Anybody know why this would be? If you look at the screen snap below you'll see that my solo buttons have little red slashes through them. When I press them they don't solo and do something sort of like soloing the effects or something. Any thoughts?

Never mind... I had to dig into my gigantic logic manual... this indicates that "solo safe" whatever the heck that is is enabled.... Now to figure out how to disable it!

Hey Mark,
I had this happen the other night. I wish I could tell you what happened to cause it but I have no idea. How I fixed it was to create another audio track, drag the regions from the bad track to it, and delete the unsoloable track. Now I can solo to my heart's content.

It seems like we're all finding Logic's lengthy list of bugs lately.

Mark have you registered with mac? might be a silly question but they are friendly guys and always seem to come up with a solution. I find the manual very difficult to understand.

Tokai,

When you say "registered with Mac" are you talking about apple discussions or with support for Logic?

I am on apple discussions but I have not setup a logic pro support identity yet.

Interesting. Once I found it in the manual I was able to clear the little slashes just as the manual said but I must say like you I have NO idea how they got there. From what I can see to enable "solo safe" you have to control click on a solo button. Well I could see doing that once by mistake but not on 6 tracks!

Well frankly what I've heard of your works my friend you solo just fine... in fact I'd be happy to solo even a tiny bit as well as you do! Smile
