You can't get it to work even by copy and pasting the address in your address bar? That should work if nothing else does. Maybe the embed and link portion of youtube is jacked up.

it's so weird....when i embed it, the video shows up in the preview, and even plays, but when i hit submit, what actually posts is just a bit of the embed code - no video. when i copy/paste the youtube link, it's again fine in the preview, but when i submit, it comes out with a EMOTICON in the link code (???), so of course isn't useable.

try posting it, but erase the "http://" part of the address. you got my curiosity up.
