What is the Deal?
Tuesday, July 15 2008 @ 10:35 AM CDT

I don’t mean to go on a rant here, but this whole page design thing is getting out of control. We have people who have their music on their music page…. you tube videos, massively large friends lists that scroll on to infinity.
I understand the need for individuality, but I just want to listen to someone’s new post. It seems to take me forever to get to the spot where their new song actually is…. I am not meaning to ruffle feathers here, but I guess it is all personal choice. I try to listen to music, and get photo tours of people’s cars, dogs, studios, homes, countries, and then get to see video clips, and then an embedded music player, with all their tunes on it, and then some animations, and then their friends list which goes on to infinity, and then, their music.
When will the madness end?

Yah, wouldn't it be nice if Macjams 2 finally fixed the problems? Too bad we users are stuck in 1.0 land, trying to work around slow inefficient web design... with occasional thumb-in-the-dyke user-fixes like Doofy's wonderful collapso-scripts. Or... wait... are you blaming this web page slow clunky restrictive madness on us users? Ahhh, well never mind then... at least it is not Myspace, yet... (Evil snide smirk)
ttfn,

(Seriously/in other words, I too would like a better layout of the artist page, with separate sub-areas or tabs for videos, etc... but we are pretty much stuck with the current layout to insert stuff into. MJ 2.0 BETA goes the OTHER way and really limits the amount of info on the artist page to the point of almost making it useless, e.g. where did each song's date-of-last-comment and date-of-uploading go?)
