Who is most helpful to you?
Sunday, January 18 2009 @ 10:14 PM CST
Been thinking... I have been helped a lot here at MJ. So, which people stand out in my mind... via their comments, emails, and/or collaborations over the course my 4 1/2 plus years here at MacJams... as having been the most effective in helping me to improve my lyrics, singing, music, and production (still a long, long way to go, by the way). These are some names that popped up for me:
Ed Hannifin jiguma snowdragon Richard Schletty Cameron Thanks and appreciation from me to the above. ... it goes without saying, other names will come to mind after I post this. Anyone else want to weigh in on who, for them, has been most helpful toward improving their music-making? Jack |

I think DRAKONIS has been the most helpful person here ... and in the earlier days, definitely ALIMAR ....

Thank you, Jack. Yesterday and today have been days in which I've felt a bit underappreciated, so I really appreciate hearing this.
Serious thanks. Ed "We have to remember...when it's surrender that's called for, it's not surrender of your brains. It's surrender of your ego. It's a different thing." --Bruce Cockburn |

Ed really made me feel confident to give singing a stab. He was very encouraging.
Just in general too, the folks at macjams are a pretty supportive bunch but what the hell, I've found musicians in general are nice bunch of folk. I'd been through a pretty rough patch this past year and 9 months, and there were definitely some people that help me keep my head up here. I love MacJams and the MacJammers that: hang here, those that have left, those that leave and comeback, those that comeback who say they've left for good those who left and don't know yet that they will eventually come back. Weeze can be a real funny bunch. I know who I am and you know who you are, but who and the hell do they think they are? |

Each era has its own people for me ...btu through the years
there were always Dadai n#1&2 Richard Schelty(carnation and incarnation) Jiguma and Mr.Draki ..those help me with technical sound and visions ! I can add Paul f Page and Midiorleans Sir Scotty ...for the classical parts ...last era Roxylee was something so big in many ways ... but thats only technically not the emotionaly and the passions to be around me here ...talking about davis people n#1 ,2 and the otta one ...I can say tens and tens with out fear of lying cos my MJ is a real home here ... I love you ! «Blues is easy to play, but not to feel » (Jimi Hendrix) |
