A sad day, indeed.
I wasn't a fan until I saw them in 1987 with Fishbone and Murphy's Law. All I knew about BB was what I'd seen on MTV. They rocked. A great concert. |

Oh no, that's way too young. He was my favourite Beastie Boy too. He'll be missed...

Gateway rap act with universal connection. Even my 7 year old loves 'em. Sad to hear about Adam.
Please check out my latest tune "How Can I Know?" |

I'm definitely a bigger Fishbone fan. I've seen them a few times live. One of the things I loved about the Beastie Boys show I saw was the controversy it stirred. Despite being a somewhat major metropolis. Memphis, where I saw them, is still quite a conservative Southern place. They came in with scantily clad dances in cages, used profanity profusely and, in their last number, had a giant inflatable penis pop up, so to speak, on stage. Needless to say, there was plenty of outrage in the local media after that. To me, that was just icing on the cake.

Truly missed - sad passing.
It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. |
