I'm dreaming about the place.

Beautiful music by Sigur Ros.

My music is much better than it sounds.

Ah yes, it's beautiful music alright. Iceland is right up near the top of my "places to visit in the very near future" list.

Here's one for you. Music to accompany something you might see if you visited at the right time of year:

No, sadly not mine. I'd love to make music like this. The band is a Celtic electo/folk outfit from Brittany called Gwendal. Great musicians! Album: Danse La Musique (1985) You can still buy it. Here's a link to Amazon downloads:

Sorry! I misread your post Karen! But the Gwendal stuff is worth buying anyway!

Karen,

The piece is called "Ba Ba" from their EP, which is called "Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do." Ba Ba is the first of three tunes. along with (you guessed it) Ti Ki and Di Do. Supposedly, if you play all three at the same time, you get a new song, which is the complete "Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do." The six monosyllables are spoken during Di Do, and those are the only vocal sounds.

Gwendal is a new favorite. It sounds like I imagine forest spirits would sound if there were such things as wood nymphs and water sprites. Thanks, Dave.
