In the beginning I was laughing at the silliness. Then I felt this strange sense of satisfaction, maybe this is payback for all the times I've had to listen to Für Elise against my will!

First,
HOW CLEVER. What a great idea.

Second,
It's just as boring upside down as it is in the original version.
I could never understand why THIS piece of all Beethoven's output
was the one chosen to be foist upon young pianists everywhere during the last two centuries. On the other hand, too bad Beethoven hasn't been able to collect royalties on this one. Ha. Ha.

“Granted, granted, granted ...” and yet, the intrinsic design of this (annoying ...) piece “cuts both ways.”

There are basically two parts to it, and “they take turns.”   One of them dances by intervals, while the other one barely moves at all.   “This total-retrogade of the entire piece” clearly points that out.   Even as one of the parts “becomes oh-so (predictably) complex,” its counterpart remains in contrast.
