Oh yeah- one other thing

I have found this discussion of Eric's merit an entertaining diversion from my pursuit of musical godhood. It must be a very entertaining diversion to keep me away from my pursuit of musical godhood. I mean musical godhood is that important to me. Oh but enough about me.
I heard Eric's music in the grocery store today and must say that he has never sounded better.
One more thing about me.
I was unable to acquire all the items that I needed at the grocery store and was forced to go to another to find the remainder. I can't remember what music was playing there though.

Everytime I hear Peaches and Deisel, I think of produce....does that mean we've had a similar experience?

No, but I have eaten a mango to "Lay down Sally".

Wouldn't that be fun? Going to a Clapton concert and shouting "Play Grocery Store! Play Grocery Store!".

I don't know how this could have happened. It wasn't supposed to end this
way. We had the best of intentions and a heart felt desire to to take this
thread where no macjammer had ever gone before... where angels feared
to tread.

The thread is dead. Long live Eric.

I have tried to live my life according the the lyrics of the Bob Dyan songbook...
how did everything go so wrong??

OBITUARY

The Eric Clapton Thread died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 12:01 a.m. EST. It was 169.
Cause of death was listed as a heart attack induced by viewing a picture of a hairy old man with no shirt on.
It is survived by rants on pimping songs and voting anomalies.
The Thread was active in its community regularly contributing to unthinking, uneducated new composers as well as being a member in good standing of the Elk's Lodge, local 461.
Funeral services to be held Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Virtual Garage, 2 p.m. The Reverend Blaine Transue presiding.
Pallbearers to include RonnieLong, RCAndrews, Uncle Samwich, Dadai, ACClarke, and a dancing skull wearing a mu-mu.
A chorus of cowbells is planned.
The family has requested donations to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in lieu of flowers.

Tis a shame the Old Chap couldn't make it to 200...

But maybe its for the best.....he was in pain....he has gone to a far better place now...where ALL threads can be appreciated for contributions Past and Present...

We shall miss theee...thread about EC...

(its a good thing you reminded of my Pallbearer duties...that Godzilla movie is takin' up more time than I anticipated...and I'm still tryin' to fit into that "can" for Guitar Wars)

Rest in Peace my Friend.

R.I.P. EC Thread. We will miss you so.

Now off to vacation in the sun for a while while I try to remember "the good things".

Oh sorry
Now I remember.
It wasn't a mango.
It was a papaya.
And the song wasn't (what a strange word "wasn't") "Lay down Sally", it was "Layla".
Man that papaya was sweet.
And I'm not just saying this so we can reach 200.
