I am also quite impressed as to how it is turning out. I know it's gonna take a long time to be finished And it has already taken quite a while But it seems that it is worth the wait. I know it says were at 40 people signed up But I also encourage new people to sign up As we will lose a few on the way I'm sure.

[QUOTE BY= Andrew's mixing and mastering skills blew me away!QUOTE]

Andrew did what now?

Honestly there isn't any mixing or mastering happening yet (though I do appreciate the kind words James). I'm just panning things a little so everybody has a little space. When we have everybody in there I'll drop an archive so those who want to take a shot at true mixing and mastering can go for it.

Peace be with my friend Jerry!

Is everything being recorded dry for the most part, so that when the mixing begins it can all start from scratch?

i think this will be a nightmare to mix unless the producer has got the right to drop stuff out here and there for clarity's sake

i tip my hat to the person that pull this off from a mix ing perperspective and make everyone involved happywouldnt it be interesting for 4 or 5 mixers to be working on stuff simulateneously...one person dealing with the drums and percusion tracks, one person with the keyboard tracks, one with the bass or bass and guitar tracks, one person with vocals, one with wind insts....etc and then someone mix these already premixed subgroups together as one

I think to this point everybody has been pretty good about submitting dry tracks.

Peace be with my friend Jerry!

Please define dry. I think of it as no effects whatsoever. However is that the case with electric guitars - where the signature of the sound is often in the tone and effects?
Or - are we talking about refraining from the use of reverb and delay - which is another way of thinking about dry versus wet tracks.

It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done.

i took it to mean no reverb or echo - i definitely EQ'd my track to make the instrument sound the way i wanted
