Just my 2 cents' worth ...
I think it's possible to resolve any kind of problems and misunderstandings. It just takes sacrifice from all involved but then, if we can't resolve our problems, how would we be able to resolve other people's problems and serve a good cause ? Can we love someone we don't know, if we can't, like, love, reconcile or forgive someone we know ? I'd like to strongly underline the fact that my comment is directed to no one in particular, but I think that most often, there is no right or wrong side in a conflict. If it was easy to resolve the conflicts, life would be easy but it's not. It takes something out of everyone. Still, I think it's worth the effort. ... and you guys still didn't tell me if Bamdad's lover is really Bamdad's and if not, what her phone number is !!! |

The level of this discourse is really ridiculous. I won't take up space quoting your long winded character bashing and name calling posts JD. At no point did I stoop to that kind of behavior. How does having an opinion about what happens in the forum of opinions make one deserving of so much ire? What's the deal with your persecution complex that you can't accept that a few people object to SKWERYL'S (and I stand by this) spam approach to self promotion that they become members of the elite worthy of your blasting ridicule? When I see egregious behavior in the forum I have a right to my opinion - same as you. Call me whatever you like - and insult a few more members along the way. It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. |

How ridiculous is it to leave a comment in a forum stating that you never listened to Skweryl's music but nevertheless are going to weigh in on it? |

I've learned it's better to stay out of these flame wars in my brief time here and I'll probably regret this post within the hour, but here goes.
I have my own opinions and feelings regarding the central players in this drama. Since they are just that, opinions and feelings, I will keep them to myself. Suffice to say I think in every life there are opportunities to look in the mirror and ask oneself, "What should I have done differently?" If after that honest self-examination someone feels totally justified in everything they did and said, I have no desire to convince them differently. What caused me to weigh in was James's statement, "I am calling for their resignations, because they are self appointed censors policing macjams" I looked up censor. I think the first definition from each dictionary I used is most applicable here since it directly speaks to the publishing and dissemination of intellectual property. The Mac dictionary defines it as, an official who examines material that is about to be released, such as books, movies, news, and art, and suppresses any parts that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. http://www.merriam-webster.com/ defines it as, : a person who supervises conduct and morals: as a : an official who examines materials (as publications or films) for objectionable matter b : an official (as in time of war) who reads communications (as letters) and deletes material considered sensitive or harmful Dictionary.com defines it as, an official who examines books, plays, news reports, motion pictures, radio and television programs, letters, cablegrams, etc., for the purpose of suppressing parts deemed objectionable on moral, political, military, or other grounds. The key word in those definitions is "official." To my knowledge only the administrators have the ability to officially supervise and censor content on macjams. To my knowledge no SKWERYL song, forum thread, forum post, or song comment was ever removed or altered by the site administrators. To my knowledge no member lobbied administration to have any SKWERYL content removed or altered. And even if they did, if administration decided not to alter or remove content, no censorship took place. To my knowledge nobody lobbied administration to remove the SKWERYL account. And even if they did, if administration decided not to remove the account, no censorship took place. It's one thing to feel wronged by the actions of an individual. But the claim of censorship just does not apply here. Peace be with my friend Jerry! |

I listened to SKWERYLS music - found it amusing. I think you are confusing me with someone else. If someone found SKWERYL"S marketing campaign offensive and chose not to listen but still had an opinion in this forum - that's their right. Who is setting the standards of behavior now? It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. |

Perhaps facts should get in your argument's way. We made FOUR forum threads in a month. The rest were done by other macjammers (like our the great dimm witness for instance). Are you all really going to keep repeating this? We NEVER spammed, that is completely false. |

Charles....I think the spamming thing eduard and kevin have mentioned was in response to the one day skweryl responded to old threads and eventually pushed all the curent forum threads off the "new forum posts" list....i don't think they are talking about the 4 new forums I have finally figured this out but now I have forgotten what to use it for. |
