A true story: My wife and children and I were tent camping years ago, and my 12 year old son got the word "Insolence" stuck in his head, from somewhere, and he spent much of the camping trip finding almost appropriate times in conversations (usually with his younger sister) to frown and yell "Insolence!". As you can imagine, this got rather droll after awhile. Finally on the second evening during dinner, when my wife said something that once again prompted the shouted phrase "Insolence!" from my son... my wife turned and while giving him a disdainful look, said: "My apathy trumps your insolence." and went back to eating. For some reason, all of us (including my wise son) found that to be extremely funny and profound, and we have occasionally quoted it ever since. --- Sometimes, when raising children, one must feign a great deal of apathy to overcome their insolence. A very wise woman, she. ttfn, Drakonis |

Glad you could offer your opines, both these comments really add to the discussion.
(For you initiates, this is called "roofing", a time honored MJ ploy to soften content deemed too "something" by the commenters and represents a soft form of censorship.) Daug |

*sniff sniff* Hmm... the above statement smells a bit like sarcasm, Daug, so I shall take it as such. Apologies if this *roofing* (I've not heard that term before) has been taken as "soft censorship" toward something. In truth, I was simply going off on a tangent and offering a true story that was triggered by Dimm Witness above. Since my story had NOTHING to do with your original post, I am actually guilty here of "hijacking the thread" to offer my own anecdote. Again, I did not intend to censor anyone, but it sounds like I am stepping on toes, so I'll refrain from interjection for now, so my intentions are not misconstrued. ttfn, Drakonis |

Sorry Daug - Could you please explain to me what you mean exactly? Clarity is essential to initiating a discussion if that's what you are doing. It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. |

I meant exactly what I said Kevin.
The point I wanted to make has already been made, if your eyes are open you can see it. I appreciate the help fellas, thanks again. Daug |

That's an easy way out. Perhaps the roofing was an innocent response to your obtuse post. Not everyone is on your wavelength. It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. |
