Perplexing Question
Friday, September 30 2011 @ 06:57 PM CDT

I wore my sunglasses on the top of my head all afternoon while I worked. Now that they're off, I still have the feeling of phantom sunglasses, but every time I reach up, they're not there.

I'm exasperated. What should I do?

interesting, undoubtedly related to "phantom hat" and "phantom bracelet" phenomenon.
couldn't find any info on treatment, although there are some fascinating approaches to phantom limb pain etc. in amputees involving use of mirrors...

I've had the phantom hat sensation after wearing a baseball hat for prolonged periods... I find it tends to go away after a while. I wouldn't worry about it!

Put the sunglasses back on your head. Then when you reach up, they will be there.

"phantom coolness" .......

This is just spooky! I recently realized that I thought I am cool, but realized that I just USED to be cool.
