G-F-C-F-Em-Am-G-C

and write a song on that.

Ranting for me.

About five minutes ago I managed to switch to bach's double violin concerto. For now, it's bearable. By tomorrow morning? Not likely...

I absolutely love the “Rant” video ... and, at the same time, I love the Canon.

The first time I heard it was after a Simon & Garfunkel concert on a date in Atlanta, GA with my then-girlfriend (and now-wife of 24 years ... coincidentally ... as of today).   They were playing it as bumper-music after the show.   It was mesmerizing to me in its utter simplicity, and yet, strange complexity.   I don’t know if I would want to be condemned to be a cello player, but it sure was and is a great piece of music.
