I just made the change. I have 10.6.8. I chose the option, "Not move to the Cloud because my devices are not compatible."

But they never asked me to create a new account. The only thing that happened was that they sent me a message saying, "Your .mac mail will still work after June 30."

So I hope I did it right. And I hope the Cloud does not delete my old e-mails.
