Re:New Cat?

so we asked our cat Midi if she was lonely and wanted a new buddy, and as far as we can tell, the answer was yes.
so today we adopted a new cat: Roxy. no pictures yet, she's hiding behind the dryer! |

Yay! I really hope they become BFF's. Cute name, Bill.

Roxy looks like a sweetheart; here's echoing Char's sentiments that your two furry family members become best friends.
This actually mirrors our own current situation... we're thinking of getting a rescue friend for our cat Gray. Full name: "Gray Cat." This creates a moment of 'comedy ensues' when, upon showing a picture of him to someone and they ask what his name is, we reply "Gray Cat". They answer, "I can see he's a gray cat, but what's his name?" "Gray Cat," we answer, knowing where this is going. "Yeah, yeah, got that, he's gray," they retort, wondering who's not getting the point of this conversation. "We're up to speed on that point. But what's the cat's NAME???" Keep us up to speed on how they're getting along, Bill! |

Roxy and Midi are getting along amazingly well. it's been less than 24 hours, and they can already tolerate being in the same room together. of course, there is still the occasional hiss when one approaches too close, or one turns a corner and suddenly is right next to the other, but already we've been seeing a reduction in the size of their personal spaces. with some previous new cats, it took several weeks to get where we are already.
