As events continue to spiral into the living room...
When the first movies were played to test audiences in the 1920s, the folks
reported being distracted by, "The black lines."
The first generation to see movies could detect the lines between the frames of film.
After a few minutes of continuos exposure to the then new media the film became as
reality for the viewers- they no longer could distinguish the film frame walls. They
simply suppressed awareness of them.
