I forget who launched the last version of this back in August 2008 - might have been michael2. It was a great success.

I'd just set a period to enlist and a date to post. Collabs allowed - but no interaction at all with the person you're covering (no midi files etc.). It should be a surprise all around (just check the creative commons license that it's OK to cover). Simple.

Just my two cents.

we did do that challenge before and it was a blast. what was really cool was how everyone's back catalog got a thorough going through as people tried to decide what cover to do. that and the amazing covers that were produced. i would totally be up for this again.

i actually ended up doing 2 different versions of the same song in different styles (just for kicks), here's one of them:

That challenge was great. I'd love to do another one. I did a cover of Michael2's Everyone Relies on Time last time.

Yup, that was a great challenge; I managed to get two done too: a smokeyvw cover and an age of the death tree cover.
