Have you gone to the toontrack site and downloaded all the updates to your ez drummer? It doesn't automatically update so updates are something you have to manually install. It's a good idea to check the toontrack site from time to time to make sure you're up to date. I used to have the same problem and this fixed it.

I've don't have either EZ Drummer or GB3 so I'm just guessing here but:
The symptom you are describing may be something that Toontrack blames on a limitation of earlier GB versions: http://www.toontrack.com/helpdesk/issue_view_portal.asp?ID=39http://www.toontrack.com/helpdesk/issue_view_portal.asp?ID=39 - GarageBand 2/3: MIDI grooves can only be dragged to new tracks It may be that when you run EZ Drummer as an AudioUnits plugin you have to engage a Slave To Host mode which enables EZ Drummer to get it's clock info from GB. I use IDrum on occasion, and there is a checkbox you have to tick if you want GB to play your drum track. There might be something similar in EZ Drummer. You have an older version of GB and a new version of EZ Drummer. The problem may have to do with EZ Drummer installing the samples where GarageBand does not expect them to be. |

Well james, you should bite the bullet and get iLife 08 on ebay. It is only like 30 bucks and the version of garageband is much improved anyway. Well worth the small amount of money.

If I'm not mistaken, there are some compatibility issues with ez drummer and gb three. Which is kind of a bitch. You have to kind of use a generic midi track, select ez drummer as a souce(I think) and each new loop has to be in a different track. It can be used but Its a royal pain. I believe that the newest iteration of gb doesn't have the same bugs. Unfortunately I found it all out the hard way.
