Nice New Setup
Saturday, September 22 2012 @ 02:58 PM CDT

After a trip down the shops, I've now rearranged and updated my digital studio. I feel great things can come of this fresh feel!

Bargain buy of the week: 12 IKEA mousemats, used as insulators to rest my speakers on to stop that horrible boom you get from speakers on tables. 6 under each speaker, all twelve for just under $10. And they look quite nice too.

I also bought two duvets for 39dhs each (about $10.50), and put one on the opposite wall, the other on the tiled floor. My room is now amazingly reverb free, and I seem to have hit lucky - the bass is significantly cut and I have a much flatter response.

Very comfortable looking, as well as efficiently arranged. Now we're expecting even greater music from you ;-)

* Or so I'm told

Damn I'm impressed!

I had to HDR this because the chair and desk would just be black and the screens blown out. The most natural photomatix I could do (even then, photomatix is still pretty ridiculous!). I did run NIK Silver Efex over the top as a luminosity layer though, so brownie points for you there!
