how about widening the challenge to:

Woodstock 1969 -or- Glastonbury 1970

the first Glastonbury Festival was Sep 19, 1970
the lineup i could find was:

T.Rex
Amazing Blondel
Ian A. Anderson
Keith Christmas
Quintessence
Sam Apple Pie
Stackridge
Al Stewart

Awesome! Just the news I wanted to hear! I'll have to break out the recorders, pennywhistles, and dulcimers and cook up something Blondel-flavored. Are they not the kings of 16th and 17th century (and earlier) rock and roll? *grin*
