Aaarrgghh! They have a Supro sim! And the amp models actually sound pretty good... Double dang!

they answered my prayers with the stomp boxes and amp sims.

the fact that it doesn't use cpu power when no signal is going through the plug ins is a very big bonus.

I didn't waste any time in ordering it this morning.

well, you don't see that everyday

looks like it's got some nice new features (the audio flex thing looks cool). can't afford it right now, and still lots to learn with LE8, but I will definitely be setting some money aside to get the upgrade in the future.

as for the PPC thing, I guess them's the breaks. time marches on. no ones hand carving stagecoach wheels anymore either. if your stuff is still rocking, who cares? is there a version of Ableton Live that runs on PPC? you can do all of that audio stuff on there if i'm not mistaken.

Hi..It seems Logic9 is universal which would mean a ppc machine will work..Which would make sense due to many users stil using ppc machines in pro applications..Just a thought..Taylor...

Anyone knowing if the new features - like the flexy thing - also work in Logic Express? On the introductory videos (http://www.apple.com/logicexpress/whats-new.html) the man repeatedly says "Logic Pro", but the videos are presented under the Logic Express, so I guess it will work, but it still makes me a bit uncertain.

I can't find any indication that LP 9 would work on a PPC... In fact, I found this:

Logic Pro 9: Release Notes
Last Modified: July 23, 2009
Article: TS2565
Symptoms
Logic Pro 9 is part of the paid upgrade to Logic Studio (2009).

Products Affected
Logic Studio, Logic Pro 9
Resolution
For more information about the application please visit www.apple.com/logicstudio/logicpro .

Note: There is an incorrect reference to PPC support in the Logic Node section of the Logic 9 User Manual. Logic Studio (2009) requires a Mac with an Intel processor.
