twice the memory (8 GB ) and the core i7; I just rebuilt my desktop PC with this technology and Windows 7 pro, + a 1 GB video card - the system is quite fast.

if I had the $$$ I'd go for the latest technology and the top package I could afford, but that's just me. On the other hand, I don't know anything about the reliability or issues that there may be with the Macs....
