Re:Hardware recommendation

All of Apples new computers are duals. (Dual Core) Which is very nice indeed! Even the new Minis. I havn't had a chance to play around with them though, so I can't really say if they're quick enough for you and so on. I'm also not sure if you can link them together for more power. That might be something you could check out at the Apple forums site. Sorry about the mishap on the link to the Mac Mini discussion. My mistake. I was in too much of a rush that day but I tried to give you some input which I thought might be helpful to you. I appologize. It's fixed now, so you can go check this out if you havn't already done so. Good luck in your purchase.

I'm in with Hammock. I just got the 20" iMac Intel. Coming from a G4 this was a Super improvement. No belchs here either w/ GB3 and quite a few plug-ins. I've got 1GB of Ram probably should have went with 2 but can add it easily later. The 20" screen is huge! Check it out first before considering the 23". It's a big number that you might want to put towards software. Many upgrades were needed for the UB versions.
It's worth it though. Also you need to have a good sound system to attach to it. My old eMac G4 had much better standard speakers. All in all a great system for under 2 grand. |
