MJ Live Aid Is HERE!!
Thursday, June 12 2008 @ 10:22 PM CDT

It's 1985 again people!

The day is here! The world is coming together to lend a hand to its fellow man and it's YOUR turn to take the stage in the Live Aid line up at Wembly Stadium!

Just post your submissions and then let the world know with a link in this thread. We'll keep a running list as you post.

But first, take a listen to the Live Aid Opener posted earlier by Scott Carmichael. And it's actually a tune from the 1980s!

Next up, The Lodgers, featuring bud, echoroom and michael2 with WeAreStars.

And now, another tune that was actually written in the 80s! It's Rik Berryere with Everything is No.

We'll keep the music flowing now with Every Day by jgurner!

Now, give it up for dajama with Dirty War.

Coming up next! It's Relic67 and Without Mercy.

It's time to get down and get funky with I, Spike's Mighty Cracker Fly.

And what would any big performance be without that rare, lost recording. J.A.Stewart is here with a rare recording of Joe Hollywood performing Star-Bound.

How about a little swamp boogie from Dee1962z with LiveWire.

Broadcast from inside a secret missile silo, probably that one from the beginning of "War Games," it's Vic Holman, 5 Extra Arms and Bud with Cloud You Fell From.

MJ newcomer EEFliess jumps in and takes the stage with Eastern Europopcorn.

Now taking the stage, the one and only Nick_Flash with She's The One.

And now, another actual recording from 1985, The Infinites presents the band Real Politique with Snowblind.

Here's dee1962z again, this time teaming up with davisamerica with Socrates2

Finally, just under the wire, it's ledebutant and jgurner with Black Star.

Postlude:

We have another song that was actually recorded in the 80s, zallaz01 presents his old band Catch22 with All About You.

Wooh! Bud posted his then took it down, but I'd already downloaded it. I'm duping it up on Radio Shack cassettes and will be selling bootleg copies out of the back of my dad's station wagon in about an hour. Look for the girl with the bangs in her eyes.

You caught the beta version the real deal will be up soon.

Please excuse the early post - I'm leaving town early in the morning.

I thought we were waiting until July 13th? Am I missing a month, or dip I slip into a black hole, or have I be bitten by a rabid weasel and passed out only to wake up and find that all the people in the world have vanished..... well, I'm just sayin'....

Yes, all those things have happened, but since it's the 80's, I also blame the nukes.

I was afraid of this happening. The original Live Aid was on July 13th, but ours starts on June 13th. If it means you're going to miss out, I'm going to be heartbroken. I was really looking forward to yours!

If this presents a problem, the simple solution is finish the song by July 13, hop in your Delorean, take it up to 88 mph and come back in time to this weekend and post the song.
